The water scandal continues to mystify even some who sit on the current council.

The residents don't trust the city," said councilman Matt Johnston. "I, as a city council representative, do not trust our city."

“There should not be a barrier between the public and what’s occurring with their tax dollars in their department that the city holds so dear to their hearts, because the citizens are the bosses of what we do,” he said.

Johnston said he has plans to add this topic to Tuesday’s city council agenda.

“A lot of things need to change,” he said.”

Johnston’s suspicions were confirmed when the FOX31 Problem Solvers caught up with Jordinelli and he admitted he was under the influence.

“It’s now recall time and that’s what I am now focused on and helping others with,” said council member Matt Johnston, who voted to keep Rodriguez in place. The Ward One council member told FOX31 the mayor has never explained to him why he wants to oust Rodriguez, when Johnston says the city manager has been a whistleblower.

“Without an election coming and what they just pulled off last night, we need to remove those members in order to bring sanity back to our city and transparency,” Johnston said.”
